Heads up Social Security recipients – pending Russian Mafia-backed hack looming; date unknown - published July 3, 2025

A warning to Social Security recipients: hackers are coming for Social Security benefits. If you receive your benefits via card you may have noticed the agency tasked with informing you of a pending payment now has a lag before the recorded message launches, if it launches at all. The lag is because your phone has been hacked. I suspect but can’t prove, hackers manipulate calls from the card provider’s number when the number reaches your phone. When you call the agency back and enter in your card information, hackers steal your card information, your social security number, whatever you enter to access how much is about to be deposited.  If you can, don’t use that phone to check the status of the funds on your card. If you can, save a little cash each month for the day when your Social Security is stolen, our banks and ATM machines are down so you can’t withdraw your Social Security from your account, and your credit card won’t work, but you still have to pay rent. Once you’ve saved enough for a month’s rent, buy a money order or cashier’s check that doesn’t expire in a couple months, so you can hand your rent or mortgage to your landlord or bank. This is especially important for tenants in rent stabilized apartments.

Over 60 million Americans receive monthly Social Security checks via direct deposit or debit card. Putin and the Russian Mafia are all about enraging us and getting us into the streets, demanding change. Putin has already had the Marines and National Guard deployed on American soil and the U.S. Administration hasn’t been in office 6 months. Tens of thousands of federal workers have been laid off for a reason: so when ordinary people reach out to our government for help, they get nothing. After most of our law enforcement and military understand we’re experiencing a coup-genocide, our law enforcement and our military will refuse to be used to attack American citizens. Chaos will reign, circa 2025 Haiti, which chaos in Haiti Putin and the Russian Mafia also orchestrated. If you can, have a month’s rent set aside in a money order or cashiers check for when Putin and the Russian Mafia make their move. I’ll try to follow my own advice but money is tight and my phone is hacked.
